Financial stewardship - 2 July

Shared this as an offering exhortation;

Apostle Maldonado said in one of his messages on financial stewardship - "All financial lack is as a result of poor financial stewardship"

I checked out the word on 'stewards' in the Bible. The Greek meaning is 'oikonomos' and it has 3 meanings:

1. Manager
2. Overseer
3. Treasurer

Thus a steward is someone who takes care of the assets of the richest person on this earth and beyond. Who is the person who owns all the riches of the earth? He is none other than God!

He loves us so much that He has given us all things to enjoy. Yet He only wants 10% of what He has given to us to enjoy.

What are we to steward?

1. Money
2. Time
3. Talents

We are the stewards of this life He has given us.

What is required of a steward?

1. Faithful - Luke 12:42
2. Wise - Luke 12:42
3. Give an account at the end of your life - 1 Cor 4:1
