This morning while reading Ps 32, we were struck by the simplicity of verse 8. It says "The Lord says ' I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advice you and watch over you'"
Wow......the verse was spot on for me. It really spoke to me that wherever I was now in my career was the 'best pathway for my life'. Whatever course my youngest daughter was doing right now was without doubt the best for her. If God wants her to change, He will surely advice her and watch over her. Whatever my eldest daughter planned to do had to be the best for her.
The assurance was also there that God will constantly advice me and watch over me whilst in this 'best pathway' of my life which has to be where I am in right now. Working, serving the Lord and being a blessing to my family/friends.
There is no need to be anxious. If God deems that it is time to change careers/course, He will make it clear because Ps 32:8 bears the promise that He will advice and watch over us. Thus, there is no need to struggle....no need to be anxious....but to let go.
God will take care of the pathways of our life. He will always lead us to where it is the BEST!
I got a call from a sister to whom I had sms-ed this verse. She was so excited. She told me that she was actually seeking God for direction over a matter. Suddenly she got the sms from me! She said that God spoke to her from this verse and she just knew what she had to do there and then.
Isn't God's word amazing? Awesome!
