Fake money

Today I woke up feeling quite ill. I had a difficult night, coughing and feeling feverish.

After seeing the doctor, we took the girls out for breakfast at my favourite restaurant near Bandar Baru Ampang. We had tea, bread and eggs while Tim called for pork noodles. Unknown to us when he gave them RM50 to pay for the noodles, they returned him the change with a fake RM10 in between the ringgit notes.

We found this out when buying chicken rice for Samuel. The sharp lady selling chicken rice felt the money and knew instantly that it was fake. It looked and felt different! On a closer look we could see that the counterfeit was quite obvious!

We immediately took it back to the shop selling pork noodles to ask for a new note. I really prayed hard because Tim can create quite a scene when he wants to as he has this naturally loud voice that can sound intimidating and quarrelsome when raised. My 2 girls (one of them a lawyer) went with him. I really did not want them to create a ruckus.

Thank God that they agreed to change the notes for him. In fact the second note was also fake! They did not leave until they got a genuine RM note!
